Kaiser Permanente, one of the largest non-profit health providers in the U.S., signed a deal in December 2014 with NextEra Energy Resources for two projects in California: a solar farm with 110 MW of capacity and a wind farm with 43 MW of capacity. A team of “champions” within Kaiser Permanente led the effort to define targets, build support among internal stakeholders, lead the process, and push the deal through to completion.
