Brian Hong
Vice President, Sustainable Finance, RBC Capital Markets
As part of the Sustainable Finance Group within RBC Capital Markets, Brian helps lead the integration of ESG factors into Capital Markets’ core businesses globally by providing advice and developing solutions across all areas of sustainable finance for corporate and institutional clients. Brian joined RBC in 2013 and worked in corporate strategy for Personal and Commercial Banking and RBC Wealth Management before pursuing a career change to focus on sustainability. Following graduate school, Brian returned to RBC and joined the Corporate Sustainability team where he led RBC’s carbon neutrality and renewable energy strategy, environmental reporting and the development of the first-ever renewable energy power purchase agreement signed by a financial institution in Canada.
Jason Chee-Aloy
Managing Director, Power Advisory
Jason Chee-Aloy has 25 years of experience in competitive and regulated electricity markets. In addition to his position as managing director at Power Advisory, he is currently Chair of the Board of Directors for the Canadian Renewable Energy Association, a member of the Board of Business Renewables Centre Canada, and is the renewable generator representative on the Ontario Independent Electricity System Operator’s Technical Panel. Prior to joining Power Advisory, he was the Director of Generation Procurement at the Ontario Power Authority, and, previous to that, led resource adequacy, market development, and market surveillance initiatives for the Ontario Independent Electricity System Operator.
Sarah Genetti
Senior Director, Procurement and Sustainability, Labatt
Sarah leads national strategic sourcing and procurement operations across all categories for Labatt. In this role, she is overseeing the implementation of the solar virtual power purchase agreement in Alberta, announced in 2021, that will expand Labatt’s renewable electricity commitment beginning in December 2022. She began her career at AB InBev in 2018 and has served in a variety of procurement roles at the global and local levels, helping advance the company’s sustainability strategy. She also serves as an ambassador for Labatt’s Women in Beer & Beyond group, as part of her ongoing commitment to diversity and inclusion.
